Another Update Way Down the Road :)

Well the last time I posted was back on Cheyanne's 1st Birthday. That was quite some time ago. Now she is almost 2 and boy she is one busy little lady! :-) Which is always a good thing. Right now she is talking and running more than ever around the house. Now if only the screaming would stop. We have had a rough time with taking away her bink and have unsuccesfully done it yet and she is almost 2. Im not too concerned about the whole thing just yet but when she gets closer to 3 or 4 then I'll be worried. I see a lot of people that still give their children their binks up to the age of 6. In my opinion that's not just right. You are messing with their teeth even longer. Now I don't want that for my child either. But I wont let her go past 3 and 4 is pushing it. Right now we are only using it at nap time and bed time. No more bink during the day or even in the car most of the time. So we aren't doing too bad.
Cheyanne's speech is getting better slowly. I think we are a little behind or she just might be in a stage where she refuses to talk. But for the most part she says her basic's when she wants too! Stubborn little girl that she is. She is still shy as ever and doesn't like other people to be around her. She just want's Mommy & Daddy at all times. Im trying to get her out of that phase where she is so attached to us. I hate to hear her scream when we drop her off at the babysitter's house or even me just leaving my house she throws a terrible fit. But it will only get better in time.
Cheyanne is still the same as always! A spoiled brat. But Mommy & Daddy love her very much! She will grow up to be a bright beautiful young lady.

1yr Old

Today is the most special day ever. Cheyanne is 1 years old. We woke up this morning at 7:30am and she was in the best mood ever. Obviously she knew today was going to be a great day. : ) So the morning continues and she plays around just being a good little girl as usual. Then she just took a turn for the worst and threw the biggest temper tantrum EVER! Why did no one ever warn me that there were going to be temper tantrums like this?!?! LOL

Here is a little note to my beautiful princess on her special day:

Dear Cheyanne,
Where has this whole year gone? Seems just like yesterday I was carrying you in my belly feeling you squirm around. On November 10, 2010 at 10:27 pm my life changed in an instant. It was the day you were born. I have never loved someone as much as I do you. You were put in my arms for the first time that day and I cried and just didn't want to let you go. I knew this would be the toughest job of all but I was up for the challenge. We brought you home two days later and it finally really sunk in you are here and you are mine forever. I will love you till the day I die and even longer that. You are my world and the air breathe dear princess. Mommy loves you so much and is looking forward to the years to come!

1 yr old

Almost 1 yr old!

I cant believe it! In just a short amount of time my princess will be a year old. Where did all this time go? It makes me sad to think she isn't that little baby anymore. I was looking back at pictures from when she was born and just broke down and cried. :(

Way Behind almost 1 yr old!

It's been so long that I have updated on here. It's been a long stressful couple of months with me and my daughter's father splitting up. Things just weren't right between us and it was for the better of our daughter.

Last time I updated was when she was 7 months old. Seems just like yesterday she was just a baby still. But no she is almost the big 1! Can you believe it?!?! So much has happened over the last few months. Cheyanne now says "Momma" more than ever especially if she is really upset and wants to be picked up. She is just now starting to stand on her own with out holding my finger. Next is walking! :) She is just so afraid that she will fall and just will not do it. But it will only take time. Every child develops differently

We recently moved up to Oregon and it was her first time flying on an airplane. Too bad I didn't get any pictures. She did very good till we got to Colorado then she just wanted to roam around the airport. Which of course I let her cause I didn't want her to be stuck in the stroller for 2 hours while we waited for our flight. We made it to Oregon on September 27th and landed in Portland. We were on our way to go finally see her grandparents she has never met since she has been born. My parents fell in love with her instantly. It was great to finally see my parents in over 2 years. I missed them all so much!

We also had her early 1st birthday party while we were down in Texas with her Dad's family. Boy she had a blast and was totally spoiled! :)

7 Months

Its been awhile since I have updated my blog. It was just last month I did it I know but I try and keep it updated as much as possiable. So much has been going on I finally have some down time because as of now (11:05am) she is going down for her first nap of the day. :) Now let's hope she stays asleep long enough for me to get this post done! LOL


I'll start out by saying that her Grandpa Ken passed away on Father's Day 2011. The first time Cheyanne met her grandpa was on her 1st Easter. Those pictures are already up of her and Grandpa Ken. As we would call him GranPaPa Ken. :) Im so happy that she got to at least see him and be held by him so many times. He sure did love her even though he couldn't express it himself. But you always saw the happiness in his eyes. He just couldn't get enough her and she was the same way! May you rest in peace Kenneth B. Turner. You will truly be missed.

In other news she finally started to crawl on June 25th, 2011. It was so exciting. A couple weeks before that she was showing signs of wanting to crawl but wasn't getting the hang of she had to move her arms in order for her legs to move forward. So of course when that happend she just rolled everywhere. I have a couple video's of her crawling and will most deffnately post one for you guys.

Now she is getting more teeth in and let me tell she has been the biggest brat ever! LOL She has 3 of them coming in on top but one is taking its sweet time trying to cut through. Now a friend of mine said she swore by those teething tablets. So I went to the pharmacy and got her those and now I swear by them. They work like a charm. I don't use them all the time but when I do I'll tell ya they are a life saver.


So much to write and catch people up on. Let's see what else has happend? Oh yes 4th of July. Of course this was her first 4th of July and one of my most favorite holidays ever well besides my birthday but that's not a holiday. My husband had to work the 4th and we wanted to take her to a fireworks show here in Arlington. Thank goodness he got off around the time they were supposed to start. I warned myself and him that if she started screaming and getting scared we were leaving. Well that wasn't the case! She loved them. I wish again that I brought my video camera but I didn't. She didn't mind the loud noise she was just so interested in the colors shooting up into the sky. Now I know she is really my kid. Because I loved them when I was her age and I was such a water baby as well. And so is Cheyanne! YAY!


I just cant believe that she is almost 8 months old. It only seems like yesterday that she was just itty bitty baby. Not no more! Sooner or later she will be walking and talking back to me like she should'nt be. But all kids do that at some point in their life. Now onto showing off some more pictures of my princess.

Time Sure Does Fly By-6 Months Old

Wow, time sure has flown by since she was born! Cheyanne is now 6 months old and she has learned so many new things.
First off ill start off by saying teething sucks!! lol She finally got her first tooth in on 4/29 and the second one 2 days later. Thank god that they are finally almost all the way through. I had the devil's baby for awhile and now I got my angel baby back. I'll have to get pictures of her little toofies!
Second, she is now sitting up unassisted and loves sitting up on her own. She dont want to be in her swing, bouncer, or even laying down unless its nap time or bed time. So pretty much most of the day she is on the floor playing with her toys and she loves it. She is also scooting herself around on her butt and moving all over the place. Then she gets into the crawling position and scoots herself backwards on the floor. First I'll put her on her blanket and she gets in the crawling position and I turn my back for not even 5 mins and she is on the other side of the living room. She is growing way to fast for my liking. But I can't stop it!! :)
Third, she now knows how to clap her hands! I have been teaching her that since she was 4 months old. And now she finally has a hang of it. I actually got that one on video. So ill be uploading that as well on here for you to see.

1st Easter & Meeting Her Grandpa

I would have to say my daughter had the best 1st Easter ever! We went over to my fiance's mom's house for dinner and to hide little plastic Easter eggs for Cheyanne. Of course we didn't put them in hard spots to find because she is only 5 months old so nothing too big for her. She also got to meet her Grandpa for the first time since she has been born. He has been in the hospital with massive trauma to his head from a motorcylce accident he had 9+ months ago. So it was a very nice Easter and we couldn't have been happier!
